Ishi-Nagu — Restaurant in Motobu

A family favorite restaurant to visit when we are in Okinawa. This place is super popular with the local folks, so you must be prepared to wait if you come without reservation.

The restaurant is on a steep slope along the coastal road to Churaumi aquarium. It is very easy to miss if you do not see the restaurant flag pole at the cross junction.

The food here is very unique, not found anywhere. Highly recommend the set menu. Very delicious!

We dined at this restaurant on our last evening in Okinawa, and it was the perfect choice. Set in a stunning traditional building atop a hill, the peaceful atmosphere made for a truly special experience. Visited here on the first day of my Okinawa trip. My partner did a lot of researched and found this restaurant with pretty good reviews. Located on hilltop with nice lookout to the west. Both exterior and interior are like a traditional Okinawan house, high ceiling, well airconditioned, a nice place for dining and the meal was superior. I only wish they have more than cash only option...
