It was my first experience of sitting on the counter at a traditional Sushi restaurant. The atmosphere was very calm and homely. We were served with freshly made Chef special sashimi to begin with. Then came in the fried tempura fish with salt , cord fish(Tara) with raddish and finally a myriad of sushi including variations of prawns, mackerel, tuna, and sea urchins. This traditional fish eating accompanied by some of the finest sake of Fukushima were a perfect match for the palate. The food was tasty and the chef and his family were very warm and heartening.
