Nestled just a few minutes' walk from the Madarao Kogen Hotel, we stumbled upon a culinary gem in the heart of this vibrant restaurant-filled area. This hidden delight, known for its winter exclusivity, welcomed us with open arms, offering a cozy ambiance that instantly warmed our spirits.
The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a clean and well-organized space, thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. One notable feature was the designated area where we could conveniently hang our winter jackets, ensuring a clutter-free dining experience.
Not only was the restaurant aesthetically pleasing, but the food presentation itself was a work of art. From the moment our piping hot pizzas arrived, adorned with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, we knew we were in for a treat. Each bite was a flavorful explosion, the perfect harmony of a crispy crust and delectable toppings.
However, the true star of the evening was the carbonara. This creamy delight won over my taste buds with its luscious cheesiness. It was a true indulgence, leaving me craving every velvety mouthful. The attention to detail and quality ingredients truly shone through in this dish.
To complement the outstanding cuisine, the attentive waitstaff impressed us with their English language skills. Their knowledge and familiarity with the menu made the dining experience effortless and enjoyable. We felt right at home, as our waiter made sure our glasses were consistently filled with refreshing water, keeping us hydrated throughout the meal.
As if the savory courses weren't enough, we couldn't resist trying one of their delectable desserts. I opted for the apple tart/cake, and it was a decision I certainly didn't regret. The combination of sweet and tart flavors, coupled with a perfectly flaky crust, created a delightful ending to a memorable dining experience.
Please note that due to its popularity during the ski season, it is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant and the area tend to be almost always full, so planning ahead will ensure you secure a spot in this culinary treasure. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in a truly remarkable dining adventure when visiting this area...
Read moreSpent our first night on the mountain here for dinner. We had booked online as needed. Once we arrived booking couldn't be found, and so we needed to bring up the confirmation email. That was all good, just a bit of a mix up. The food was tasty, the staff were friendly and there was a quaint vibe to the place. You could for a second forget you were at the snow. Then the we saw the prices of the meals. Roughly $65 AUD it cost us for an entree, 2 mains and 2 cokes. Both the foods and drinks were smaller in proportion and we left still hungry. This is mountain prices which I understand, but paying more then I would back home for smaller dishes doesn't make sense. Especially when other mountains in Japan are so so so much cheaper with food and drink. Anyways, if your happy to pay $$ to have a tasty feed in a great setup then I would recommend Rudolph's restaurant, just remember you...
Read moreFood is decent but drinks are WAY too overpriced and they insist each person must order a drink. I get it that drinks are the way restaurants making most profit, but 700yen for less than half a can of Cola is just too greedy. EDIT: the owner reply saying the Coke is only 300(lunch) and 560(dinner) if you pay in cash is a complete outright lie! Both the paper and digital menu only had one price and it’s 700yen. And the waiters never mentioned any price difference either. Lowered my review by one star for this...
