A small local coffee shop. Here you can make a pause, to grab a cup of coffee or tea waiting for your boat. There is actually no other alternatives for coffee shops on the island, so a bit overpriced.

Nice café to grab a bite at the end of your visit. I didn't try the food within the café but had a hot matcha which was delicious. Cash only. Would recommend to go!

竹生島に上陸してすぐ見える売店通りに位置する【ここや】さん。平日の正午前、復路のクルーズ船が到着するまでの時間に利用しました。色んな種類のソフトドリンクや人気の近江牛まん等のメニューがありました。訪れた日は11月下旬でしたが良く晴れたとても温かい日和。なのでチョイスしたのは【弁天アイスもなか】のバニラ味。弁財天ちゃんのイラストが可愛いな♡もなか皮は高級和菓子に使われる滋賀羽二重餅米を使っているとか。オーダーを通してからアイスをインして貰えるので、サックサクのパリッと食感が味わえます。船を待つ間、アイスもなかをお供に港にて、青く広い琵琶湖を心ゆくまで堪能することが出来ました。
