I can’t give this a completely fair review. That because I came here before doing the Nakasendo hike from Tsumago to Magome. Somewhat surprisingly, they have no “morning service” at all. If you order tea or coffee, that’s all you’re going to get. To be fair, they did not advertise having morning service. To be equally fair, some kind of “bonus” (even just toast) is all but standard for old cafes in central Japan. The other reviews are quite good so my advice is DON’T come for a light breakfast before a hike. They don’t have it. Or it will be expensive enough that you are better off at the grocery store closer to the station.

My wife had the egg sandwich i had the katsu curry and wauw! It was AMAZING 👏, The egg sando was also 👌🏼. As desert we had a pancake with banana juice and that didnt dissapoint either.
