Very nice place. I was only there to try the dim sum, so I can’t speak to the quality of their signature noodle dishes.
The har gao (steamed shrimp dumplings, 海老蒸し餃子) rang alarm bells on arrival at my table. The color was off. White opaque, rather than pink, as normal for good quality har gao. But the flavor and texture were pretty good, 4 out of 5.
I got the sampler trio basket. 1 XLB (小籠包) plenty of soup inside which was great, but the skin is simply too thick and heavy for top marks. 4 out of 5. 1 “Jade Dumpling” (it’s a steam shrimp dumpling with a spinach flavored and colored skin, 野菜皮エビ蒸し餃子) quite nice, 5 out of 5 mostly because it was unique. And 1 sticky Rice shumai. (もち米焼売). This was quite unique. It’s like a pork and shrimp shumai that is then rolled in sticky Rice. It looks more like a dessert. But it’s certainly a savory item. I quite enjoyed it for its uniqueness as well. 5 out of 5.
