My first time to go to this place as I usually hang around at Ginowan or Chatan area.
Saw quite a bit of reviews on it so decided to go and check it out, we reached about 1130 and there is already a queue with the locals. Portion here is huge. You get to choose your soup from light, thick or fish stock, very interesting for us because Okinawa soba usually come in pork broth.
You also get to choose whether you want the flat noodles or the standard noodles.
As we only had a light breakfast, we decided to noodles and side dishes (actually more like mains to be honest becoz you can pair it with rice set) First on the sokki soba (soft pork bones), I ordered a medium size and have problems finishing one, the portion is huge. They are so generous with the soup and noodles, noodles was chewy that goes so well with the broth after adding the pink pickled ginger and also a dash of pickled chili condiments made of awamori and chili, to me it is a must to add in as it level up the broth to so many layers of umami. Sokki which is soft bone meat was stewed perfectly, with loads of meat on it.
We also ordered one that is yasai (veges) soba which is veges soba, come with huge amount of veges and also some pieces of tender meat.
Now on to the sides, we have to order pork & egg, essentially it is a fried spam slices with egg omelette serve w a side salad. Goes really well with rice actually, but also a great side dish.
The last side or main dish we ordered was a sokki netsuke (stew soft pork bones w veges) which is soft bone pork stew that comes with again huge chunks of tender meat that fell off the bone, with some dried tofu cubes, carrots & radish & kombu. Fantastic with rice for sure.
Carpark wise they have two, one in front and one is 25m left of the shop, the place is crowded and they kept reminding customers not to park in other space because some of them are used for other restaurants.
This shop is near airport so if you have to drop off your car, this might be a good place to stop by to have some authentic Okinawa soba before returning...
