和風カフェ左中 — Restaurant in Nakatsugawa

This is a wonderful tea shop that also maintains a historic garden surrounding it. My friends and I were walking by when the owner ran out and invited us in, even though they were closed.

She and her husband then treated us so well and shared a lot about the tea house and the surrounding area; the house itself is historic and has lots of cool artefacts in it including the cups which were made during occupied Japan and a huge calligraphy tapestry written by the head of the very first Japanese delegation to the USA.

The tea is all hand-made and the owner makes at least some of it specialty from the plants in their own garden that she feels is healthy for the body, so truly a unique tea. The tea itself was delicious and very reasonably priced, and came with a free local snack.

After finishing they offered us a tour of the garden itself and to give us enough time to really enjoy it the owner offered to drive us back to our accommodations. We were blown away by their hospitality and can’t...

ずっと来たかったカフェでした！ 建物は110年程前のものだとか。 昔ながらの日本家屋でコーヒーを頂けるのは格別な体験です。

インテリアはレトロな洋風のテーブルと椅子。 そこにJAZZが流れていてなんとも心地よい。

夏なのに冷房がなくても風通しが良く昔の日本の夏を感じられる。

小さい子を3人連れて行きましたが、とても自由にさせて下さりました。

オーナーの奥様も凛とした感じのとても素敵な方です。

今回は雨で苗木城に行けませんでしたが、次回は苗木城とセットで行きたいと思います！

お昼を食べたくて行ったら予約制で他はドリンクしかなくてドリンクだけいただきました😅母はアイスコーヒーを頼んだら味が薄くフレッシュを入れたはいいけどストローも付いてないので混ぜるものがない💧

私はゆず茶を頼んだらこれも味が薄く出てきた時には氷がほとんど溶けていたのでそのせいかな😅？雰囲気はすごく素敵で...
