This fantastic little café, located at the foot of Kumano Taisha, is a true hidden gem!

The staff were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful, as I found myself stranded in Akayu during a snow storm with all trains and buses cancelled.

I had both food and drink at the café which was served in a nice and professional way with lots of love. The coffee was a highlight of my trip to Japan, please avoid convenience store coffee and treat yourself to a cup from this place. Delicious!

From the outside, the café almost looks like a little greenhouse, and during winter you probably imagine it's quite cold, but no, it's both warm and cosy, which makes it a perfect place to relax.

This place gets top marks from me. Unfortunately, many shrine visitors rushed past without stopping in— they truly missed out on...

日曜日の11時少し前に入店、店内はまだお客さん0。その後から少しずつお客さんが入ってきました。神社エール¥700と気まぐれケーキ(単品)¥550を注文。本日の気まぐれケーキはガトーネージュ、うさぎのキャロットケーキ、いちごのティラミスの3種類があり、私はいちごのティラミスを注文しました。通常のティラミスはスポンジにコーヒーシロップが染み込んでいますが、こちらのいちごのティラミスは、はちみつ？かなり甘いです。神社エールにもはちみつが使われており、他にもはちみつドライカレー、レジのところにもはちみつが売っています。お土産に百花はちみつ(¥800)と3羽のうさぎクッキー(¥200)、オレンジと紅茶のパウンド？(¥250)、いちごとピスタチオのパウンド？(¥250)を購入しました。クッキーはシンプルなもので、普通に美味しかったかな。パウンドケーキは私はもう少ししっとりしたものが好みです。スタッフのお姉さんは笑顔がステキでし...
