Recently during the evening I passed by to see a 40% off sign so I excitedly grabbed close to ten pastries and when I went to pay they told me it was a mistake and the regular 20% discount was given. I strongly believe it was a devious trickery to get the complacent Japanese customers (who most likely won't put the bread back due to it being a hassle and; would be embarrassed to appear unable to pay just because it was a smaller discount) to help buy out the bread because how do you mistakenly put out a 40% off sign when it's usually only 20%? Maybe the bakery should make less bread on slow days instead of resorting to clever trickery and deception? Kondo mata...
