Arashi — Restaurant in Naruto

Basically- tasty fish in a very user-unfriendly setting. My Japanese friend and I came and we both didn't like a lot of aspects.

Negatives😿 ⏱️You will have to wait for a long time (probably in your car, and they'll come tap on your window when it's your turn). 🪑Many seats are Japanese-style on the floor; they don't ask you if you prefer a floor or table seat, you'll be surprised when you're finally called in. Even some Japanese older people were struggling to sit down. 💴The prices are listed without tax. (They have the tax-incl. price written on the menu, but you will receive your bill without tax calculated). 🇬🇧No English, and the menu is mostly handwritten Japanese with few pictures. Even the prices are written in kanji. 🚽The toilet is a western-sitting style, but there's no AC/heat.

Can so many locals be wrong? Fortunately we showed up about 25 minutes before the restaurant opened and we spotted customers running to sign up for the wait list. Good thing we got there early because there are only about 9 tables inside, and there were twice as many groups as tables when the restaurant finally opened. And it just a Monday. Over my two-week holiday in Japan, Arashi Seafood Restaurant was the best place I visited. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the sashimi was delicious. The seaweed soup had a perfect balance of saltiness and umami, and the rice was cooked perfectly, paired with great side dishes. It was a very filling and satisfying meal.
