Irifune Sushi — Restaurant in Nikko

Lovely sushi at a downtown sushi restaurant away from the big city. I had to look around to find the entrance of the place. Just follow the map and you will find the entrance easily. There are approximately 10 parking spots in front of the place, so most probably there will be a spot available. I went there on a Sunday afternoon, and the place wasn't crowded at all. The menu is very simple with only a few dishes to choose from. I went for the premium sushi (¥2200) and some maki rolls (¥700). Miso soup and some pickles were included. The food was amazingly tasty and fresh, also very decent portions! For this price I couldn't imagine this portion size and quantity. Incredible from start to finish!! If you are anywhere near or not, it is well worth the drive. 日帰り日光旅の〆でちらし寿司上を頂きました。 地元にも入舟寿司(漢字は舟)という 美味しい寿司屋さんがあり、 親近感を感じた為、訪問しました。

店内は常連の方が多かったのですが、 初めての人でも1人で入りやすい雰囲気で 優しい大将さんと女将さんが迎えて下さいます。

海のない県だとは思うのですが、 海の幸と表現したくなるほどの絶品でした。 あら汁まで付いており、 今まで食べたちらし寿司の中で1番と言っても過言ではないくらい幸せな気持ちになりました。

自分の場所から少し遠いですが また行きたいです...
