Kyomaru — Restaurant in Numazu

Fantastic unagi restaurant. They do a lunch time offer from 11:00 - 15:00 where a set meal can cost as little as 1880 yen, but this offer is only available on weekdays. There is no English menu so you'll have to make do with gestures. When you go in you will have to write your name and the number of people for the table so they can sit you so be prepared. If you forgo this step you might end up waiting for very long. The queue can get up to 30mins to an hour depending on how many people but there is seating for those queuing. Unagi is fantastic. We bought the largest 2-tails of unagi on rice set 問屋のうなめし二本 as a take-out yesterday. The lady staff (could be the proprietor) first asked if we’re driving, then when we told her we were taking the bus/train to go home, she gift-wrapped our takeout container for us! Loved the lunch special small hitsumabushi, it was the perfect size for me. Soup was great, sides were great, lunch special prices were great, got absolutely no complaints.
