I asked the chef for the 'osusume' or the most recommended ramen in their shop. Soy sauce flavor, it is! It was tasty with reasonable price of 950yen. My friend ordered the sha-syu don (sliced meat on top of rice). A very small serving enough for her and she was delighted since it is just 300yen, which she said the cheapest meal she have ever had in Japan since she arrived 3 years ago. This shop was featured in the 'Birthday Card ' movie because of the view of the lake. Truly exceptional! Good for a short...

No condiments and no napkins (standard at any ramen place I've ever been to) on any of the tables or the counter. Fried vegetables were undercooked and basically raw. No pictures of the dishes - size and ingredients impossible to know. The only star I give is for the awesome view from the outside seats, but there are better views nearby for free. The best ramen place...

チャーシューメン 1150円。 だしの効いたあっさりした鶏ガラスープに極細のちじれ麺が絡まり、絶妙な味。メンマ・もやし・刻みネギのトッピング。 メンマも味わいが良い。今日、食べても、明日また食べたくなる味わいのラーメンです。 <ラーメンの種類について> いまいち、ネットだと分かりにくいので、簡単に説明です。 ラーメン・チャーシューメンに「辛さ」と「にんにく入り」の違いになります。 (外看板に「唐辛子」と「にんにく」のイラストが描いてあったので、それを元に説明します) ・一番ラーメン 　 唐辛子 1本 (昔の店名から取ったラーメン) ・ニンニクラーメン 　にんにく入り ・峠ラーメン 　 にんにく入り + 唐辛子 1本 (場所が、塩尻峠になります) ・大辛ラーメン　 唐辛子 3本 ・塩嶺ラーメン 　 塩味(唯一の塩味です) (ここ 20号線の塩尻峠のことを、地元では、塩嶺峠と呼びます。その''塩''をもじったのでしょう) この他に秋には「きのこ入り」のラーメンが登場します。 タブレットでの食券発行が終わったら、出て来た白い用紙(オーダー表です)こちらを使い、会計になります。 近くの会計機で、ＱＲコードを読み取らせての会計です。(黄色い用紙が出て来ます、これがレシートになります) これが終わったら、先程の「白い用紙(オーダー表)」をお店の方に出しましょう。これで、オーダーが通ります。 昔ながらの中華そばで、美味しいですよ。

The quintessential countryside ramen in Japan. The aesthetic is a ten out of ten from the open air terrace to the cozy indoor. You get beautiful view of Okaya. The ramen also does not miss a beat with its aesthetic and flavor. Today I tried the the extra spicy ramen and the attention to detail was good. An interesting point, they put the spice at the bottom so the broth must be stirred to be spicy, this way you can enjoy the broths original flavor! 日本の田舎ラーメンの真骨頂。開放的なテラス席から居心地の良い室内まで、その美しさは十人十色。岡谷の美しい景色を眺めることができます。ラーメンも美的センスと味に抜かりはない。今日、私は大辛ラーメンを食べてみましたが、細部へのこだわりが感じられました。面白いのは、スパイスを底に置くことで、スープをかき混ぜないと辛くならないことです。
