Kandon Higashiokayama — Restaurant in Okayama

I went to Kandon for lunch recently and wish I had found this place sooner. They serve kalbi beef gyudon, so if you like beef over rice then this is a must try. It’s a chain restaurant but they aren’t as spread out as other more well known chains like Yoshinoya etc.

I ordered the large size of their normal kalbi don and it was prepared very quickly and efficiently and came heaped with beef, cabbage and onions. It was very delicious and tasted a little different compared to Matsuya/Sukiyaki. The beef was a little more thick and the taste was a little more smoky and sweet too. It was delicious 👍

They also have a self serve water and cold tea machine so you can help to add much if that as you’d like which is nice.

It’s located in the Higashi Okayama area so it’s still not close but it’s worth the trip. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you...

Very, very expensive, but the taste is superb and moreish. Definitely a good place to go for weekend occasions. Serving time is a bit on slow side, but thats understandable considering the type of food. 平日の夕方にテイクアウトで利用しました。 駐車場は店舗の奥にあり、旧2号線からでも側道からでも入れます。駐車台数は16台。ランチタイムの込具合は分かりませんが、平常時間であれば満車で停められないことは無いと思います。 店舗入口は駐車場側と旧2号線側の2箇所です。店舗に入ると、テーブル席とカウンター席があり、先に食券を買うシステムです。食券券売機は旧2号線側入口の横に1台あり、支払いは現金のほかQRコード決済、クレジットカード決済に対応。 今回は新聞チラシに誘われ、初めての利用となりました。注文したのは、チラシにあった期間限定の博多モツ鍋スン豆腐単品（800円）、そしてレギュラーメニューから、温玉カルビ丼（740円）、ホルモンスン豆腐単品（710円）を購入。5分程度でテイクアウト出来ました。韓丼はネットでの事前注文も可能ですが、混雑時の時間帯で無ければ、来店後での注文でもそれほど時間はかかりませんでした。 お料理の味ですが、温玉カルビ丼は米の硬さも絶妙で、温玉との調和のとれた美味しさで、ホルモンスン豆腐もピリ辛で美味しかったです。期間限定のモツ鍋スン豆腐ですが、こちらはスープの色とは裏腹に結構辛い味でした。辛口が好きな方にはおすすめです。 残念な点は２つ。一つは期間限定のモツ鍋の価格がチラシと実販売は違っていたこと。（実販売の方が高かった）もう一つはスン豆腐のテイクアウトはスープがこぼれやすいことです。牛丼類と違いどんぶりパックにスープが入っているので、注意して運ばないと結構溢れます。 でも味は良かったので、次回は店内での...
