Bicycling around Awase in Okinawa I came across this small French Toast cafe near the sea and on seeing the reasonable menu outside, decided to sit on the small veranda outside in the lovely January (2025) sunshine. The pumpkin soup and toast set with topping of cheese and salami was very delicious! Highly recommended!! The three girls serving were utterly charming and so welcoming ! I’ve just moved to Okinawa after over 30 years living in Tokyo so to find such a lovely spot was very pleasant. There’s parking in front by the sea wall - last orders are 3 pm, and the cafe closes at 4 pm. Friday is their holiday. A very nice, chill place to have lunch or tea, or just a drink !! Great to find a quiet place close to home - so please try...
Read moreVery interesting menu and selection of french toast. These are dishes that can be made at home. Last order is at 4 pm, get there early. We arrived at 3:45 and were told we couldn't sit down and had to receive take out. The restaurant inside is very small with around 7 tables inside and 2 outside. Prices are too high for what you receive, around ¥1000 for one slice of toast with a topping.
The younger female staff member was very friendly, smiled and even delivered our food to the parking lot. The other female staff member with bronze hair didn't smile at all.
The Benimo french toast tastes more like cheese than Benimo. Tiramisu also had too much cream cheese.
I recommend trying this restaurant at least once and judge...

I tried the soup plate set with honey butter French toast which was 1150 yen and paid 200 yen more for the caramel latte. I was a little confused at why it came out to 1650 yen. There was a language barrier so it may have been that the caramel latte was not part of the drink set options. Overall the pumpkin soup and the French toast were tasty. I have had better else where on island though. There was free parking available across the street. The place got really busy and seemed to be pretty popular. It’s worth giving it a try if you’re in...
