Food 100/100. Chefs 100/100. Overall 100/100.

Being the first meal we had in Japan, we were amazed and our breaths were taken away by how delicious and high quality sushi the 2 chefs have provided. Their execution was undoubtedly impressive. Meticulous and swift, they elegantly delivered our platter of sushi. Despite the waiting time, it was all worth it, especially when you are so immersed in their preparation of your food. It was like watching a performance.

Their chawamushi was aesthetically beautiful and has a silky texture. All the seafood was very fresh. The sushi was generous in size, and the meat to rice proportion is like no other. Their miso soup is also one of a kind with a special ingredient incorporated in it. (Please go and try yourself, I won’t reveal it here 😉)

We highly recommend this sushi place as it also has a history of more than 100 years. It is a family business passed down from one generation to another. Everyone is very kind and friendly too!

We stayed around the area and hence went back for another time before leaving Japan.

Thank you so much for the...

Our favourite place we ate on our Japan trip!! We were on our way back from universal studios and looking for some fresh sushi in a non-touristy area. We ended up getting off the train at Nishikujo and walking towards this place, which we found on google maps. It was really nice to stroll around the quieter streets as we were overwhelmed by the crowds in Dotonbori. The restaurant was small and mostly empty, but the owner was very friendly and we decided to sit at the sushi counter. We ended up having some of the best sushi of our lives!! We shared a nigiri set which included tempura, chawanmushi, and ordered some extra unagi, pressed salmon and fatty tuna nigiri, all for a very reasonable $80 AUD. The restaurant has been open for over a hundred years by the same family.

We will definitely return when we’re...

Excellent food and service! After a busy day out in Osaka, it was nice to stumble upon this fantastic restaurant. Lots of variety, we had the Tempura and Kaiseki sets, and the Unagi.

Everyone enjoyed their choices, the food came out at a reasonable time and tasted so fresh. Portion sizes were spot on and we left very satisfied.

Each dish was made with care, and the little flourishes of flavour in each dish were a delightful surprise. Kaiseki set was a highlight, especially the tofu pot.

Thank you...

This was our favorite place to eat in Osaka. It was so warm and welcoming and such a friendly chef and staff. Best sushi of a lifetime! We loved the cute mugs, delicious ebi and ahi, we would recommend to everyone to try! They have been open since 1908 and learning the history just brings so much more authenticity and depth to the atmosphere. Thank you thank you thank you!
