If you've been to Japan but have yet to try conveyor belt sushi then you've never been to Japan. It is one of the most convenient, wallet-friendly, varied (in terms of menu items), and quintessential eating options in existence. For three people with big appetites, we totaled less than 7,000 yen. There are sashimi, sushi, gunkan rolls, ramen, udon, fried fare (chicken, fries, etc.), and that's not mentioning the drinks.
You come in and check-in on a machine which gives you a waiting number with your assigned table. You wait for your turn on the TV screen then head straight to the table and start ordering away on the little tablet. You pay at another self check-out machine so you wouldn't even need to interact with anyone for the entire time. The tablets you order the food on provide an English menu if you need it. Sushiro makes it clear when it's your food that is passing by on the conveyor belt... a voice tells you that your food is about to pass by. I really enjoyed the sushi... it didn't bowl me over, but it was really good. The desserts we ordered were also tasty. My only complaint was with the size of the glass of beer that's available. It looks like a pint glass on the menu, but the actual glass seems more like a kid's cup in stature. It really didn't reflect the price you pay for it.
