I would love to give this place a better rating, but the customer service was truly awful today! We turned up 9:30am on a Sunday and the restaurant was about half full, with plenty of available tables. Despite this, we were made to write our names down and wait outside for about 20 minutes before being allowed in. The staff were very stressed and panicky. The waitress asked for our order outside the door, despite not having seen the menu. At the counter we were informed that we could only order from two items on the menu as they were too busy. My partner and I both ordered pancakes and took our seats on the terrace. About 20 minutes later, French Toast turned up in front of me (not an option we were allowed to choose). As it was plonked in front of me and no cutlery was delivered, I just sat and waited. Over five minutes later, the stressed waitress came to take away the incorrect meal, and her this, delivered to the correct recipient! We thought that was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. It’s during a pandemic, I was sitting above the food without a mask, and she never asked if I’d touched anything. The poor guy who then received his cold meal!!
Correct pancakes were delivered about ten minutes later and were delicious. It’s a great atmosphere but the service was terrible, and they couldn’t handle a half-full restaurant. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreFood average, staff and organization terrible. Dont come with kids and avoid their "special events" at all cost.
Edit: Because they gave a misleading answer here is the full story: They didnt tell us their restaurant was closed due to a special event (even though I explicitly asked about the waiting time at the restaurant!). The main parking was full, so they had us park further away, for a fee (usually its free if you use the restaurant). After walking back with our kids we then found out the restaurant is closed, only the beach kiosk is open, with a ridiculous waiting line. The event had a 2-3 other food trucks, but no available seating nowhere. Explaining our situation we asked if we could sit on the terrace of the closed restaurant (it was accessible and empty), so that our kids can eat something without having to stand in the burning sun. They politely told us to get lost.
I at least suggest they should warn people that the restaurant is closed, especially people with kids. Other people who like to shop around for little souvenirs for an hour waiting to get a plastic seat in a kiosk serving average street food like grilled chicken might enjoy these...
Read moreHad arranged to meet here with friends. We arrived first and ordered a shave ice. As there are no ATMs close by and there were credit card logo stickers on the cash register, I wanted to pay with credit card. I asked if I could pay with my card and was told no, cash only. Maybe the machine was broken? I didn't get any explanation. I asked if I could sit at one of the picnic tables in front of the shop, and the staff said yes. After we sat down at a table with a tent, an old man who was cleaning up around the tables came over and told us to move. No reason at all. We had to move to an uncovered table even though we were the only customers. There was nobody else at the shop. The uncovered tables were very hot from being under the sun and we had 4 small kids with us. Our friends showed up and we ordered lunch. My friends had come to this restaurant before and were confident that we could use our credit cards. It turns out that they had refused my card because they wanted to save the credit card processing fee. No smiles, no apology, no explanation and the food was...
