A hidden gem in the town of Rumoi. Almost missed it bec of the opening hours starting from 5pm. So glad we persisted.
They served “omakase” in May and it was a beautiful 9 course meal featuring all the local produce. Every dish was set on pretty serving plates that makes the meal even more enjoyable.
Especially love the squid grilled with garlic sauce. The tuna was so good and sweet (something I won’t eat back home).
We also had a 17 variety sashimi don and each slice was a delight as we taste the freshness of the produce. The chawamunshi was the best I ever had. It had morsel of moochi that blended so well with the umami taste. Splendid!
The server was a friendly chap who spoke good English. Knew we were in a hurry and he sped up the service....
