東北大学の校地内にあるカフェレストラン。 メニューに工夫を凝らして頑張ってる。 ランチタイムには行列ができるほど。

ただ、ここの「牛カルビ定食」だけは少し調理方法を考えたほうが良い。米国産の牛のショートプレートを業者に厚さを指定してカットさせて納入させていると思うのだが、ショートプレートは吉野家などの牛丼でも使われる原料で、味は良いのだが肉質が硬い。

牛丼は薄切りにするから食べやすいのだが、この店の場合、「カルビ」と銘打つために少し厚切りにしているのだろうが、それが硬すぎて食べるのに難儀する。客層として年寄りも来るだろうから、厚切りにするなら、もっと小さくカットしないと非常に食べにくい上に喉に詰まったり事故のもと。東北弁でいう「はばける」ってこと。

お店の人たちの努力は感じるので、一度、自分たちでもその「牛カルビ定食」を...
