Joyfull Aichi Seto-ten — Restaurant in Seto

I was at the restaurant on the night of saturday, july 29th, around 7 pm. There was only 1 employee to serve the entire restaurant and all demands such as: welcoming customers, directing them to tables, cleaning tables, taking orders, delivering orders, replacing ice, replacing glasses, preparing frozen desserts such as ice cream and kakigori, delivering the bill, collecting payment at the cashier. Inside the kitchen there is also only one employee to attend to all orders on a Saturday night, which is usually very busy.

This score (5 stars) is for employees who were working alone this weekend that despite the full restaurant, they kept calm and good service.

Now for the person in charge of the restaurant, the score is zero. It's absurd not to have emergency planning for staff shortages, where a single employee is overwhelmed with all the services of the rest all night. I am impressed with this employee who kept the service courteous and calm even with all the tables and doorbells ringing at all times.

I don't know his name (dyed hair boy), but I wish he could read this review and know that he is an amazing person and that I hope one day he will have access to a place that is more considerate of employees and pays very well!

Found a place near the company I was assigned. 軟骨 (nankotsu or Chicken cartilage) is my all time fave wherever in Japan. The crisp, smell, and taste is perfect! Plus the morning menu with the lovely hokkaido...

2年前から通っています。最初はあまり気になりませんでしたが、ここ半年〜1年の間にかなり酷くなった気がします。店員さんの覇気もないし、何より全然人が足りてません。主に休日の夜に利用しますが、たくさん店員がいて当たり前の曜日･時間帯に数名しかいませんでした。氷のストックを作る余裕もなさそうで、ドリンクバーも利用できない種類がちらほら。おそらく店員さんたちは必死なんでしょうが、客の数に追いついていませんでした。ここまで来ると、店員さんだけではなくこの店を管理してる店長やオーナーも責任を持つべきだと感じます。

ジョイフルは安くて美味しいものを提供してくれてると思うので大好きです。ただ、店員さんの労働環境を見ると、上の立場の人が無理をさせてる気がします。厨房の床の汚さをただ指摘するだけではなく、自分たちもそんな環境の中で働いてみるべきだと思います。少しは責任を持ってお店を管理してください。

2024/07/13追記 1年以上ぶりに行ってきましたが、相変わらずでした…。土曜の夜にキッチン3人ホール2人じゃさすがに回せないですよね。名前書いて待ってましたが、多分店員さんたちは誰も私たちがいるのをわかってなかったかもしれないなと思うくらいでした(笑)結局、他の飲食店に変えました。人が集ま...
