Kasuga Sushi — Restaurant in Shari

This was one of the best experiences my friend and I have had in Japan so far (nearly 3 months). Excellent food made by an expert chef with incredible care. A great personality. If you’re in a rush it might not be for you because he puts his heart into the food and good food should not be rushed out. The omakase sushi, the karaage chicken, and the chawanmushi were particularly excellent. Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. They must not have any idea what delicious food is. I'm still not sure when we walked in with wet riding suits and helmets on if the owner said "we are closed", but after we sit down and order he still made us the most wonderful meal (especally the karaage!) and said we can take as mush as tissues to wipe the bikes when we finished and leaving. Incredible experience. The owner is a kind man who runs the restaurant alone with a smile. We speak very little Japanese, but with the help of a translation app we could communicate and share some kind words. The food is amazing. It’s tasty, well presented, some of the best food we’ve had in Japan.
