Uotora — Restaurant in Shimada

Incredible place, very small and very very cozy atmosphere. Only one lady working here who is incredibly kind and at least from someone who can speak Japanese, her customer service was excellent.

The food itself, as the restaurant itself states, takes a while to arrive-- however the wait is definitely worth it. At 3200 yen you get what is possibly my favorite unadon of all time-- it was unbelievably delicious.

Great food and the sides are few but also incredibly great. The soup was really good in particular.

うな重をいただきました 客が少ないからか一人で伺いましたが注文してから点火! 調理開始。でなかなかお時間かかりました。と言っても普通うなぎはすぐ出てこないので一般的な時間。

お一人でお店やっているようなのでお客さんがいっぱいいたらそれはそれで大変そう。

見た目は住宅の一階に構えているのでうなぎ屋の雰囲気は0

2階等は住宅とつながっていて子供の声や階段駆け上がる音がばんばん聞こえる感じです。
