カリワラインド料理 Currywala Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Shiroi

This is a branch of a chain of 7 restaurants [said to be]. The ambience is amazing. A true effort has been made to create a little India when one is inside the restaurant. Unlike other chancer Nepali, Pakistani and Indian restaurants, the place is professional, clean and the decor is obviously and plainly done by a professional interior decorator.

Service: staff were brilliant. Shoveer attended to me and he had a charm and humility that was refreshing for a curry restaurant in Japan. He was able to engage in conversation in addition to merely doing his waitering, and is a natural host.

The food, I had the one curry set ( mutton) with a Naan set ( Naan, really small piece of tandori and a soft drink of choice).

The positives of the food was that the curry portion was reasonably sized. It was not just small pieces of lamb in gravy but actual pieces of mutton/lamb].

Other positive was that I ordered the level 5 spiciness and it was truly hot, actually a little hotter than 5, but most curry restaurants forget the level of spiciness and just serve the standard curry, leaving a heat buff like myself baffled.

The Naan was excellent, not too sweet, and genuinely fluffy. Naan 9/10.

Negative about the curry, the heat was achieved by merely adding raw chilly powder instead of toasting it or cooking it in, that left an unpleasant aftertaste.

Pricing: The curry in the set is priced independently to the carbon price. So if you choose a pricier carb set, you can get a surprise with the bill ( but the meals are overall cheap so not much of a concern). I think the pricing is used to earn sufficient to cover the costs of the decor and huge parking ( big positive).

I recommend this restaurant if you are a first timer to Indian food because they explain well and there is a friendly Japanese hostess to serve and explain to Japanese clients.

I also recommend it if you are entertaining and don't want any embarrassment that can eminate from less cultured staff. The toilets etc. are also truly clean.

店が綺麗なインドカレー屋さん。 街のインドカレー屋というと、入った瞬間強烈なスパイスの香りがしてくるイメージだが、ここはそういうのがないファミレスみたいなお店。チェーン店だからかな、ちゃんと掃除されてて設備もきれいで良い。とても入りやすい。 出てくるカレーは、日本人が想像しているインドカレー。インドには行ったことがないのでわからないけれど、日本人の思うインドカレーが出てきて安心。 価格は全体的にちょっと高いけれどコスパは悪くない、都心のデパートや電気屋の上にありそうなインドカレー屋の料金帯で、少しコスパを良くしたようなイメージ。味も同じような感じで、雑な感じじゃなくてちゃんとしていて美味しい。 ディナー時間帯だと、普通にカレーとナンだけ頼んでも1200円くらいいく。1400～1600円くらいの価格帯でセットメニューが何種類かあるので、それを選ぶのが一番お得かな。サラダ、ドリンク、デザート、カレーが複数選べるとかの、よくあるセット内容がいくつかある。それにナンが食べ放題だとこれくらいの金額はいくかなぁという印象。

お腹を空かして、カレーとナンを食べるぞ！と行くにはとても良いと思うけれど、軽くカレーが食べたいくらいの気持ちでいくと単に高いだけじゃんとなりそう。タンドリー系のメニューを堪能するセットがないのが残念。タンドリーチキンとケバブがつくカレーセットはあったけれど、他にも色々あるのを試してみたい。飲み会とかで大人数だと良いのかもしれない。

それとカレーを食べると水が欲しくなるので、テーブルにピッチャーで...

最近、久しぶりに訪問。 メニュー見てびっくり。 セットメニュー、選択肢が少なくなって、値段が上がってます。 ナンの食べ放題もありません。 以前から知ってるだけに、割高感が拭えません。 また足が遠くかな。 星1つマイナスです。

数回再訪してますが…。 エビのレモンカレー（しっかりエビとレモンとバターの味がして、不思議なカレーでした）、キーマカレーと食べて･･･ 今回はマタルマッシュルームを頼んでみました。 グリンピースとマッシュルームのカレーで、これはナンよりライスが合います！ 出来たらバターライスかターメリックライスがあれば、なお最高です！ ライスと合うカレーが見つかって良かったです！

夕飯時に訪問。 お好み満喫セットを注文。 好きなカレー2種と好きなナンが選択可能です。 あたしはチキンコルマカレーとキーマカレーを選択、ナンは店員さんのオススメでチーズナンを選択しました。サラっとしたカレーを想像していましたが、トロっとしたカレーでした。チキンコルマカレー、ナッツの味を残しつつ、スパイスも効いていて美味しかったです。 チーズナンは、店員さんオススメの意味が分かります。チーズが濃厚です。カレーがまろやかになります。 チーズナンを頼むなら、いつもより辛さ1つ上げてもいいかもしれないなぁ。 炭焼チキン、美味いっス！ この値段なら、あと１品付くと嬉しいです。スープかドリンクか･･･。 以外とお...
