We were at first hesitant due to the modest outlook of the restaurant. However, we were so glad we came here! We really wanted an authentic Kyushu-style ramen and this place gave us that. In fact, I think it’s the best ramen I’ve had during this trip. Beats all the chains like Ichiran. After a beautiful bike ride through the mountains of Mount Aso, we first stopped at the train station for a photograph with Franky from the manga One Piece. After that we came across this very small restaurant, we entered it and we saw a lovely couple making all the dishes together. By the look of the photos and the decoration they are doing this together for a long time. It is the best ramen we've eaten so far in Japan! We ordered their osusume (recommended) which is their Tonkotsu ramen and gyoza. The ramen was perfect for my liking because it had just the right amount of richness that i was able to finish the whole bowl.
