This restaurant is fantastic. The food here is simple yet delicious and very hearty. I actually accidentally stumbled here when trying to find parking for Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine. An older gentleman directed me towards the restaurant where his son (who spoke English) helped direct me to the shrine and even allowed us to park in their lot despite not eating there.
We did end up eating there however after a relaxing yet challenging climb up Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine. The food was incredible. The trout sashimi was one of best freshwater fish sashimis I have ever tried and the roasted taro and trout were amazing. This restaurant is a MUST if you are visiting Kyushu. The food, ambience, and views of the mountain are incomparable to anywhere else I have visited. The owner (3rd generation) and his family are also incredibly kind and welcoming and I would visit again in...

The owner could not be more welcoming or kinder, speaks fantastic English (and Mandarin, we noticed), and looked after us like family, telling us about the history of the restaurant and many of the visitors who have come over the years.
The food by the way was also excellent, especially the sausage which reminded me of home :)
We used their private parking when visiting and waited 10 minutes to be seated during a weekday lunch.
An amazing...

You can order an individual set platter which consist of a fish, konyak with pepper, tofu, taro, 3 pcs fried beancurd, rice and miso soup. Their tender chicken and pork skewers are also...
