We randomly came across this place which features Japanese mountain yam. However, they do have set menu which includes a variety of dishes including Hida beef, sashimi, tempura, soba and many more. We chose a lunch set which came in big portions. We literally felt like king and queen eating here. The price was very reasonable.

Healthy and refreshing food, main selling point is the wild Japanese yam jinenjo. Portion was quite big too, if you are a yam person then this place is definite goto destination. Had the hida beef miso hobayaki as well, hida beef never disappoints.

飛隚倧鍟乳掞に向かう道でたたたた芋぀けたお店。お昌も過ぎお䞀段萜の時間でしたが、埅ち合いで2番目。数分埅ちたした。が、店内入り口には飛隚のお土産や産盎野菜などが売られ、それを芋おいたらあっずいう間に呌ばれたした。 移築した200幎ほど前の民家だずいう店内は広々、ひず぀ひず぀のテヌブルは倧きく、座敷ず怅子垭ずあり、ゆったりしおいたす。テラス垭ではワンちゃん連れの方が数組。こちらはワンちゃん可胜なお垭のようです。メニュヌはボリュヌミヌでどれにしようか迷いたした。自然薯は私が思っおいるよりサラッずした芋た目。ですがお玉ですくうず粘り気が匷く、ご飯にかけお薬味ず混ぜお食べたらずおも矎味しい。自然薯蕎麊もコシがあり矎味しかったです。飛隚に来たら食べたかった挬物ステヌキがバタヌ醀油味でこれもたた矎味しかった。しかし、火を止めるフタが぀いおこなかったので焊げそうになり、慌おお小皿に移したした。デザヌトにずろろプリンを。粘り気はありたすが味にずろろは感じなく、あっさり甘めの矎味しさでした。お手掗いも沢山あっお埅぀事もなく助かりたした。垰りには埅っおいた時間に目星を぀けたお土産も賌入。駐車堎ずお店の間の片隅に玍屋のような土間のような、カマドのある小屋がありたす。どうやらココは喫煙スペヌスみたい。ドラむブがおら䌑憩に立ち寄るのも良さそうです。党䜓的にみお、行っおよかったず思えたお店でした。

Found this lovely restaurant by accident driving through Hida.

Mindblown.

It is hard to find traditional Japanese dining at an affordable price other than sushi or ramen in Toronto so coming across this restaurant was an amazing experience.

There was Hida beef cooked on hot ceramic plates, soba noodles, local yam dishes, tasty shrimp and mushroom tempura, lots of tapas style pickles veggies and to top it off, a dessert concoction that was creamy with a hint of coffee and red bean. This is a must try.

The service was exceptional and friendly.

Their washrooms are higher end hotel worthy.

Also grab the snacks they sell on the counters up front. They let you sample most and...
