Stumbled upon on our way to the pier. While the pier was mediocre, this place was on point. The karage chicken hit the spot... coupled with a nice cold Orion draft beer. Wow.

竹富島の泊まる夕食難民に対して、救いの手を差しのべてくれるのがこちらのお店でした。夜は予約した方がベターです。 お店は「そば処竹の子」と「宿屋たけのこ」の間にあります。 建物は新しくてキレイです。内装も清潔感あふれる明るい雰囲気のお店。 スタッフの方の対応も気持ちのよいものでした。 離島の中の離島である竹富島で、この値段でご飯が食べられるなら、それはとてもありがたいことです。 値段が値段なので味どうこういうのは申し訳ないです。 ●八重山そば　650円 無難。 ●軟骨ソーキそば　800円 ボリューム大。 ●車海老フライ　4匹　1,400円 海老フライだけは思ってたのとは少し違いました。 竹富の似たような雰囲気の別のお店で食べた、竹富島産車海老フライは、ちゃんと車海老の風味がしたのですが、今回食べたのは気のせいか香りがしない…。 気のせいだと思いますが、仕出し弁当に入ってる海老フライが思い出されました。(そう言えばメニューにはどこにも竹富島産とは記載がなかったかも。) ●グルクン竜田揚げ　500円(本日おすすめメニュー) 食べやすいひとくちサイズ。 ●チキングリル　(本日おすすめメニュー)
