My husband and I enjoyed a pizza lunch with beers when visiting Taketomi. The owner is very attentive and is running the show all by himself. We ordered an island basil marinara pizza as well as a cheese and island garlic pizza. Both were delicious. The owner also grows his own chili peppers and grinds them into a powder. We found this restaurant by chance. Lucky, because the pizza is unbelievably tasty. If we hadn't had to take the ferry to Ishigaki, we would have stayed longer in this beautiful setting. The host was also very friendly and enjoyed chatting with us. When he found out that we had to go to the port, he even offered us a ride. Next time we will gladly take him up on his offer.
