Osteria Beccafico — Restaurant in Tateyama

Before we got to this restaurant, we went to a different restaurant that we found on Google Maps. But it was closed, so we called the next restaurant on Google Maps if they're open.

The location is fantastic - right in front of the beach and quiet area. The restaurant is behind the main street. You have to drive through a narrow winding road to get to it. Be sure to park in front of the restaurant. There are parking spaces nearby, but those are for different restaurants. The owner lady seemed very polite and friendly. Very cute, clean and cosy place. We loved the big windows! We enjoy the food and the view.

I had a glass of wine and shared three different dishes — two kinds of pasta and a salad.

We could see the Mt. Fuji from the restaurant. Unfortunately, when we visited, it was overcast.

An excellent choice in Tateyama. I’ve been twice for dinner. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared. The menu changes regularly, with both meat and seafood options. Both times the owner waited on us (husband in the kitchen, wife in the front). She was efficient and very considerate. The restaurant design is modern, with a comfortable feeling and lots of exposed wood. It’s rather small and intimate with a beautiful view of the sea. A little treasure box found near the beach in a neighborhood of ryokan. This restaurant offers some of the best tasting Italian cuisine since I've set foot in Japan. The porcini risotto was absolutely great with good consistency and a hinted flavor of blue cheese. The price is more than reasonable, the service quick, and the staff very warm and friendly.
