Located conveniently near Gyomu Supa, Hama Sushi is a great place to stop by after grocery shopping. The parking lot is very spacious, and there’s free parking for bicycles, which makes it even more convenient.
This is my favorite sushi chain in Tokyo. They offer a wide variety of sushi at very affordable prices, around 100 yen before tax per plate. My personal favorites are the soy-marinated albacore nigiri and the salmon nigiri. The fish is always thick, juicy, and fresh, with no unpleasant fishy smell. These two are my must-order dishes every time I visit because they’re both delicious and budget-friendly.
Besides sushi, they also have other menu options like ramen, karaage, snacks, and desserts. I usually finish my meal with their mille crepe. It’s soft, creamy, and not overly sweet—just the perfect dessert after sushi.
Be aware that the restaurant can get quite crowded on weekends and holidays. If you want to avoid long wait times, I recommend visiting outside of peak lunch or...
Read moreOne of my favorite spots. Hama, is hands down my favorite of the "conveyor style" sushi chains. Why? It's got the best selection of sauces, easy open packs of Wasabi, and it's almost always extremely fast. This particular Hama just reopened and it has been quite flooded with people.
This isn't much of an issue as it's only a 15-30 minute wait depending on the day and time of your arrival.
Hama, like all the others, has loads of different choices, but it's one of the least expensive, most delicious, and cleanest chains to be honest. I always pick hama over the other massive chain conveyer belt sushi...

As its a suburbian food chain, kids are running around without manners. Dumb parents can be easily be seen by looking at how they look and those kinds of parents never educate their kids to not touch the food on the rails. Even if you tell the floor staff, for example, Mr. Sato, he never warns those parents and kids about it. Saturdays nights are hell in there and if there's a position called a manager, that manager is pretty useless as the restaurant is heavily understaffed. Since, March 2016, it seems like you can use normal Japanese credit cards and now in 2017, you can use Edy/Nanaco and all those smartphone payments. Oh, and I don't think you don't need the "pepper robot". Get a real working staff instead and pay them.
Oh, and you can't do reservations over the phone and you'll have to use the "Hamanabi" website which is made only for smartphone screen. If u wanna use it, you'll have to learn Japanese all the way and enter your private infos a lot.
And, don't go on weekends, Fri/Sat/Sun as its a chaos and you'll have to...
