Izanami — Restaurant in Tokyo

Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend if you are in Oshima!! One of the highlights of our trip. We had the take-out sushi here since most other places were closed and we couldn't have been more surprised with how delicious it was. The chef was extremely nice and easy to talk to! He even specially made me a new set of sushi, outside of the prepared packs, since I don't like wasabi! The beko-zushi(べっこう寿司) was incredibly delicious and very addicting. We could have easily eaten several packs, even though we were full, just because it was that good! Also highly recommend the negitoro(ネギトロ) ! He also have us a piece of sushi we didn't see on the menu of Yuzu-kosho in place of wasabi, and it was delicious!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Will always be the best food memory we have from Oshima, and some of the best sushi we've had in our lives! --coming from my Japanese...

They were friendly and gave us conversation while waiting for the sushi to be ready. We took out and enjoyed...

大島旅行でおいしい海鮮＆べっ甲寿司が食べたいなと思い、GoogleMapで評価が高いこのお店に自転車こぎこぎ行ってみました。

テイクアウト専門のお店です。 大島のオススメスポットをわざわざ雑誌まで取り出して教えてくれる気さくで粋な大将と、ニコニコ穏やかな雰囲気の板前さん(⁠^⁠^⁠)

そしてなんて美味しそうなお寿司…！！ ネタはとても新鮮で肉厚！なのに値段はチェーンのちよだ鮨と同じくらいでリーズナブルでした♪

最初の宿が素泊まりだったんですが、周辺の飲食店があいてなくて困ったので、その日もここでテイクアウトすればよかった…。
