An unassuming place located smack in the heart of the land of cafes, Jiyūgaoka. The place is a bit cramped – as to be expected in Tokyo – but it doesn't feel crowded. The first floor has counter seats, and the second has table seats. The staff were prompt and accommodating. We ordered the staples: margherita, rucola, and quattro formaggio. I'm not sure if they have an English menu, but staff were patient enough as we tried to go through it. In any case, the pizza floored us. The dough was light, thin, and chewy, and the crust burnt just right to get that perfect crisp. Even my friend who doesn't like crusts loved it. The pizza here is prepared in the traditional way, no gimmicks; the flavor of each ingredient brought out to its fullest, in harmony with the others. But maybe we felt that way because we ordered traditional dishes! We'll definitely be coming back for the specials. Maybe we'll be lucky next time and get the counter seats to see the oven in action!

Step inside to be transported to a small pizzeria in Italy. Amazing taste, quality, hospitality and best of all... Affordable! This matches or could be better than the top pizza places I've tried in Tokyo (I've tried a lot). If you're skeptical, I urge you to try and get at least one margherita to judge for yourself. I think reservations are recommended but I walked in at a random hour and they sat is at the counter on the 1F. There are not tables upstairs on 2F. They require you order 1 drink per person. They have a board of daily specials. They have an English menu (but not for the specials). The staff speaks some English though. ✅ bathroom 🚻 ✅ cash and credit 💴 💳 ✅ veggie options 🌿 ❌ Accessible ♿ ❌ Kid friendly 👨‍👧‍👧

One of our favourites in Tokyo. Having been here so many times now, the quality of pizzas are always 4.2-5/5. The dough last night was perfect (crispy yet the right level of chewyness inside). The Margherita and Marinara are always a staple and of the specials we've tried, the mushroom red / tomato based pizzas have been our fav. The home made sausage / spicy salami topping are nice too. If in a group, we will order appetizers but they tend to be small so if going in a pair we like to do 3 pizzas. The atmosphere on the ground floor is nicer than the second floor. They play Italian radio (which can be a bit loud when on 2F).
