After a negative experience last year, I gave them another possibility ... because there was a free table outside. And, again, I was disappointed. Apparently, while your wait for your cappuccino, you are allowed to exist in space and time only on a very precise spot of the store. If you do not stand in those exact space coordinates, an employee will run to you urging you to move your physical body a few inches away. Lest the cosmic harmony be disrupted! Since I am not a puppy dog or a sheep, I take umbrage at being herded and ordered around. I vacated the establishment (after voicing my dissatisfaction as a customer). I gladly let them have my cappuccino. I hope they enjoyed it, on any spot of the shop they may like. Actually, I am intrigued that at any other Starbucks I patronized in Tokyo that peculiar obsession with people standing on the few square inches of their choice never manifested. At those establishments, the staff was unfailingly friendly and easy going. As for the one @ Shirokane Takanawa, they are welcome to have fun ordering each other around ... without my participation. I ended up having a coffee at another place in the neighborhood where one can...

It’s small, so I wouldn’t stay too long since it is busy. Mostly single seats with small tables. Better to come during spring or summer and you can sit on one of the outdoor seats or plaza if it’s too full.
Customer service was just ok. They have a mic so it’s awkward when the the cashier yells at you for everyone...
