Yocchare Center Diner — Restaurant in Tokyo

Yocchaare Center is located right on the bay, and you'll probably pass by it if you arrived on this side of the island if you came via ferry.

Yocchaare apparently means "stop on by" in Kozushima Japanese!

There are many things to buy as gifts/souvenirs, and an excellent restaurant on the second floor! Everything was about 1000 JPY, and you can get extra rice for an extra 100 JPY. I chose the kinmedai meal, which is a type of fish that is commonly caught in this region of the sea (of course there are other meals to choose from as well!). But seriously, that kinmedai stuff goes for like...3500 a lunch/dinner in greater Tokyo! I was surprised to see it so CHEAP here! And of course, the flavor was just absolutely mind-blowing!

If I lived on this island, I'd probably eat this kinmedai meal three or four times a week!

You will probably be introduced to this place regardless, but you really need to go and chow down on that fish!

Located on the 2nd level near the maehama port and tourist centre. Order through the machine and the friendly staff will prepare the meal.

Had kinmedai meal and it was fresh and delicious. The soy sauce compliments the fish well and wasn't too salty. Vegetable tempura was light and crunchy and the fish based soup goes well with the meal.

Ok, so we had to come back here for lunch everyday because it was that good. The best dish for me was the kinmedai. It was so fresh and tender that it will make you not waste a single piece of it’s meat. The curry was delicious too. Overall, this was for sure the best one...
