Our 3rd week of Japan trip is here on Teshima island at this amazing guesthouse with a wonderful host Aki-san. We totally enjoyed our stay with her, her home made fermented food such as the kimchi and miso cream cheese, her deep knowledge of the arts on these islands and driving us to some hard to reach art works and stars gazing at night. This has been the best part of our trip so far. Read moreWe had a great time at Aki's Commune. Unfortunately we were staying at this marvelous place for one night only, could it easily been a whole week.
She did cater us delicously the evening, accompanied by having a good chat. By day we spent our time exploring Teshima with her provided e-bikes. Aki also gave us all the information we needed regrding all the sites. The place itself is pure aesthetics. A traditionally built house with all the amenities you'd ask for (I loved the toaster!).
