GEMOR — Restaurant in Toyohashi

GEMOR is heaven on earth for dusty bottle bourbon lovers. If I could give 6/5 stars, I would.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and will happily pull out photo albums about his trips to Kentucky, highlighting how the distilleries have changed over the years. He's also got a number of hand-picked and GEMOR exclusive bottles, which I highly recommend.

ゲモーはバーボンの専門店です。 細長い店内はほの暗く、古びた木製カウンターが奥まで伸びています。 右手側にはバーボン瓶が壁一面を覆っています。

まさしく大人の雰囲気。

お店にはバーボンしかありません。 ビールすら無し。 その代わりバーボンはどこにも負けないほどあります。 かなり珍しい品もあるようです。

マスターにバーボンの飲み方を聞きました。 上等の品はストレートが一番。 味香りを吟味します。 但しこれは疲れる。 並品はロックで気楽に飲むのが良い。 とのことでした。

この店で水割りなどと言ったら白い目で見られそうです。

バーボン専門店は全国でも10店ほどしか無いそうです。 名古屋一二軒、大阪にやはり一二軒、東京にもう少し・・・ その一軒が地方都市豊橋市にあるのが不思議なほど。

万人受けはしません。 でもオタクには堪らない店です。
