New Orleans Cafe — Restaurant in Toyohashi

We went for lunch and the food was really great, the quality of the meat in the burgers was so good. I really had a craving for an American burger and fries and it didn’t disappoint.

Week day lunches get a free drink and we enjoyed root beer. It did take about 10-15 minutes for the food to come out, but it didn’t really seem like it took too long, but if you’re ordering take out, maybe keep in mind that it will take a little while to prepare.

So the food was decent but it’s not amazing. Everyone talks about the buns but they’re not mind blowing - in fact they’re pretty plain for a western palate but are considered unusual here in Japan. They don’t toast them well so they become soggy from all the burger juice. The novelty factor is high with this restaurant in this location. The food is good enough. The burgers themselves were flavourful but there’s no rich texture. Tower of onion rings were delicious and crunchy. Needs more sauce for dipping though. Fun enough to visit once in a while....

The restaurant interior design is very American. When u step inside u feel like there u are not in Japan anymore. Legit burgers and fries. Patty and onions were grilled to juicy and tender, sandwiched between the crispy buns. The burger gets too big and hard to bite but hey isn't that what good burgers are supposed to be like.

I got a burger and fries for roughy 1200yen. They even sell coffee beans at the counter.
