美味し処 味えもん — Restaurant in Toyooka

The couple that run this place are great hosts. Charming and attentive, "mama" and "papa", as they introduced themselves, were every bit the dream izakaya-experience. While this is "only" our 5th ramen in Japan, it was easily the most delicious. The cuts spoon-tender, uniquely flavored, and the ramen-broth kept the same level.

We were also greatly entertained by the regular customers of this place, which made it feel like we were just dropping into the true Japanese everyday-life of a homey izakaya restaurant. We paid only 5000 ¥, including both beer and sake, and I would have been happy to pay doubly the amount. The owners have been running a restaurant for 35 years as both chef and hosts, and tonight it really showed. My only regret is that we cannot come back again, this trip. Came here initially to get some ramen and had a fantastic evening. The owner was very welcoming, we had great conversation. Mapo Tofu was especially tasty!

Google口コミ見てたらお勧めにあがってきたのが気になって『味えもん』さんに初訪問しました。ラーメン店では無く完全に居酒屋でした。豊岡市生田通りの路地裏に店舗があって豊岡市民が締めのラーメンとして利用してるみたいです。色々話を聞いたら5年前にここで居酒屋を始めて常連客に裏メニューとしてラーメンを提供してたそうです。口コミで『味えもん』のラーメン旨いよって飲み歩いてる人達から広がったみたいです。正直ラーメンを本格的にやるつもりは無かったそうですが常連客がラーメンのぼり旗を作って店舗の前に立てた事で逃げれなくなったって大将が話されてました。中華そば770円(消費税込みの値段設定最高)会計は770円でした。ラーメンのスープは典型的な豊岡ラーメン(醤油鶏ガラスープ)ですね。豊岡ラーメンと言えば丹後屋さんなんですが『味えもん』さん自慢のチャーシューがガチで旨いので完全に『丹後屋』さん超えてますね。チャーシューがホロホロなのに脂身少なめで小生好みでした。ねぎは山盛りでもやし、メンマ、味玉と具だくさんでめっちゃ嬉しいです。これ味玉が今流行りの半熟卵でライスがあれば完璧なんやけどな。ただ常連客がのぼり旗持ち込むの分かるぐらいラーメンのクオリティーが高かったですわ。水は頼めば汲んでくれてスタッフの印象良かったですよ。駐車場はコインパー...
