Genuine Izakaya Diner "Uotami" Toyo-Oka Station — Restaurant in Toyooka

I have no idea why people are reviewing this place anything less than 5 stars. The mediocre ratings had me scared to go in, but everything about this place exceeded my expectations. I went for an early dinner on a weekday and was seated right away. It got crowded pretty quickly after 5:45pm or so. The interior is modern, clean, and has private rooms, which I appreciated. We had sashimi, yakitori, seafood pizza, oysters, crabsticks, maki sushi, kimchi tofu hot pot, and a jug of chicken wings. Everything was delicious and the staff were lovely. It's nice to have a private room for dinner! Upstairs bigger tables...

何度か利用しています。料理も美味しく、スタッフの皆さんも元気で丁寧な接客をしてくださり、全体的に活気があって明るい雰囲気のお店です。

特に若いスタッフの方々が、忙しい中でも連携を取りながら一生懸命働いている姿が印象的で、応援したくなるようなアットホームさがあります。

ただ、混雑時に訪れた際、店長らしき方がスタッフに対して大きな声で「何？！」「あ？！」とかなり強い口調で返している場面があり、少し驚いてしまいました。

一部の方だけかもしれませんが、そのような対応は聞いているこちらも少し気まずく感じてしまい、せっかくの明るい雰囲気が惜しいなと思いました。

スタッフの皆さんがとても良い雰囲気で頑張っておられるので、働く環境がより良くなれば、さらに素敵なお店になるのではと感じます。
