Ali's Friend Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Tsuchiura

I went during lunch, and there were about 3 plate on offer for around ¥600-¥800. When you enter you can place your order at the cashier. The assistant was helpful and efficient. I ordered a pita kebab and what arrived was a generous portion of salad and lamb that was hidden under the salad. It cost ¥900 and I think the price is reasonable. There is a considerable amount of meat and it was very tasty. There was also a selection of there sauces provided as well. The original along with the spicy was a good combination. One thing I'd like to see are some pickled peppers.

On the menu, the big thing they seem to offer are their pizzas. The biggest being a 5xl which I may have to try next time I visit! This along with some of the middle eastern cuisine.

What used to be food van is now a decent sized restaurant, that in the current situation provides well spaced and protected seating with clear plastic guards between each table along with sanitation like alcohol and wipes.

I recommend coming and trying the kebabs if you're in the area. Decent value...

New restaurant located inside the vicinity of Joyful Honda Tsuchiura.

The owner is the same as Ali's Kebab trucks that is popular around the prefecture, but in this place they also offers many other menus like burger and pizza.

However, as many of the meat used is basically from the kebab roasts, the taste would be unexpected when you order the pizzas and such, so I highly recommend to stick with the traditional Ali Kebab's menus that is really tasty.

Also, they have outdoor seating that allows you to bring your dog...

It is a nice helal place in tsukuba. Inside is usually cold during the winter since the doors are always open. But for this covid period is good to ventilate constantly. Kebap s taste are average and a bit too salty. They have nice costa coffee. They are selling also some helal food ingredients but i found them overprice. I am buying same stuff from online tokyo helal market which they deliver within 2-3 days. Although it is a good alternative if you like to have it...
