Kimuraya — Restaurant in Tsurugashima

Lovely little shop run by a single owner. The chashu pork (チャーシュー) ramen is SO GOOD and has a large quantity of pork. I almost regret ordering it because there was so much meat I struggled to finish it! I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu (豚骨醤油) (pork bone broth flavored with soy sauce). It's thick, rich, and hearty without being too salty. If I hadn't overextended myself with the pork, I would have drank my bowl dry! This shop also offers thick or thin noodles (futomen or hosomen), so you can order based on your preference! I got the thick noodles and they were lovely. Do spare the extra 50 yen to get the marinated egg (味玉), it made my tastebuds stand up and sing. I'll definitely be going back to try the miso ramen and a few of the other toppings! UPDATE: Had the Miso ramen, this time with cabbage and marinated egg as the topping (seriously, that marinated egg is the best 50 yen you'll ever spend)! The miso broth was also fantastic, though personally I prefer the Tonkotsu Shoyu. 2025/10/12 和風チャーシューメン (太麺、味玉トッピング) 魚介の風味が効いた清湯スープで、表面がラードで覆われています。スープ自体はさっぱりしていますが、表面は脂の甘味を感じるこってり感のある味わいです。チャーシューはホロホロと崩れる柔らかさがあり、相変わらずの美味しさです。このお店ではチャーシューメンが外せません。

2025/1/5 味噌チャーシューメン (太麺、味玉トッピング) スープはややとろみがあり、味噌よりも豚骨の旨味や脂の甘みを感じる味です。濃厚でこってりしていますが、くどさを感じさせないバランスで美味かったです。

2024/7/19 とんこつ醤油チャーシューメン (太麺、味玉トッピング) 麺は細麺と太麺を選ぶことができます。とんこつ醤油はややとろみのあるスープで、家系とは違ったさっぱりした味わいです。塩分高めの濃い味ではなく、豚骨の旨味と醤油の風味を味わう、そんなラーメンです。
