This was a terrible experience. It was my wife and I’s birthday, we don’t usually go out for fancy dinners but given the occasion we figured we would give it a try. For starters, despite the restaurant not being very busy the service was very slow, that part would’ve been forgiven if the rest of the events that night weren’t a complete disaster. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and never received it. The original plan was to get the Tomahawk Ribeye w/ half a lobster tail on top however they were out of lobster. So that was a disappointment but excusable so I just ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye by itself. After waiting for what seemed like forever our entrees came and at first glance everything looked delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium. I made sure to cut down the middle as I know the outside tends to be slightly more cooked then the center, however the center was also overcooked. I attempted to explain the discrepancy to the server and I think there was a communication error because he thought I wanted the steak cooked even more. Due to the miscommunication, the server brought out the same steak cooked even more. At this point the steak was well done, my wife was done with her entree and I was fed up with the situation. I explained to the waiter once more that the steak was overcooked and I requested a brand new steak served medium rare. The server went to the back where I assumed a new steak was being cooked, and after waiting for another 10 minutes the server returned with a gentleman whom I assume was the manager. Presenting to me for a third time was the same exact steak and for some miraculous reason it was all cut up and and appeared to be “medium rare”, after comfirming previously that the steak was in fact well done. Not sure how the same steak could’ve went from well done to medium rare. This was the 3rd time they had brought the steak, not fixing the issue and refusing to remake the overcooked $80 steak. I explained to the manager the issue and he continued to argue with me saying how the steak was cooked properly. I requested to have a new steak prepared and he proceeded to tell me that there wasn’t any Tomahawk Steaks left. That was the final straw and I just requested to remove that item from the tab and just get my check and leave. This whole experience made my wife extremely uncomfortable and completely ruined our birthday dinner. All in all this was a disastrous experience, the service was slow and when presented with a problem the management refused to be accommodating and would rather argue than fix...
Read moreI often don’t like to write bad reviews, but for how pricey this place was, this was completely necessary. It was extremely overrated for the price. Every steak costed more then $30 but only for the steak itself, no sides included. You have to order the sides separately. The steak and the sides themselves were subpar. The steaks were well cooked and tender but lacked seasoning and flavor. One of my friends ordered the $100 tomahawk and was disappointed to find it lacked all flavor and was just a giant hunk of tasteless fat. The lobster Mac and cheese was also a big disappointment. The lobster itself was rubbery and dry. The lobster sat atop the bland macaroni and cheese, not incorporated into the pasta, which further emphasize how lackluster it was. The baked potato was described by my wife as “tasted like it was cooked by a handheld lighter “. The wait for the food was also very poor. We came at a very empty time for the restaurant with reservations but still waited close to an hour for the food to arrive.
I want to emphasize that this is mainly about just food quality. The service provided by the wait staff was very good and they were very patient and well mannered people who cared about our experience.
One other positive I can say was the cocktails and alcoholic drinks were very well made.
To conclude, if your looking for a meal worth its price the I highly recommend you look elsewhere. If you don’t care about the money and just want to flex you spend $100+ on a meal, even if that means sacrificing flavor and quality...
Read moreLocated in Uruma city, one of MCCS restaurants with outrageous prices.
Please be aware of the evening dress code!!!!!. Remember this is a MCCS facility but reservations are recommended.
I was wearing an Armani Exchange set up and received looks up and down because of my diamond earrings and small gold chain. The person that seated us had an upright attitude and acted like he didn't want to seat us. It was 8 pm on Saturday and the restaurant was pretty empty. We didn't have reservations and were seated right next to the bar, where the TV screens could be seen.
Service was okay, the waitress put water on the table and took another 10 minutes before bringing the menus. She was friendly and knowledgeable. All of the service in general was slow.
The main courses are all expensive and doesn't come with any sides. They have to be ordered separately.
The Lobster soup is okay. The Onion soup is way too salty and not worth ordering. The chicken is borderline with some commissary instant potatoes on the side. My family had pasta, came in large servings but not what you would expect for the prices.
The atmosphere is okay. Lighting is borderline depending on where you are sitting at the table. There wasn't any music playing.
Overall: I can't recommend this restaurant for evening dining or special occasions. I didn't like the overall stuck up feeling like you have to flex to come there and eat. The prices are way too high for the...
