Nomado Cafe — Restaurant in Yakushima

It’s very rare I give 5 stars. This place is a diamond in the rough. In an area where truly decent food establishments are rare, this place was a sight for sore eyes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back, and the owners very talkative and friendly. They speak English and obviously pride themselves in their food and crafts, which are skilfully laid out inside the cafe. We stopped here for lunch. The food was excellent,I would also highly recommend coffee and cake. The owners speak very well English and are so friendly and helpful. My husband had a bad sunburn, and they gave us cooling gel pads to sooth the burn. The place itself is very cosy, and easy to get to. We definitely would go...

I'll never forget going back from the mountains through small, rustic roads, all tired and worn out, and then - out of nowhere - stumbling upon Nomado Cafe.
