いづ屋 — Restaurant in Yamanashi

Wow this place is a hidden gem! We stayed at the Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel and this place was a recommendation by the front desk, pretty close and open late.. came upon it by chance and it was a WOW meal! We sat at the sushi bar and had the Omakase (chef’s choice of what is currently the freshest) ..first time we ever tried it and this place was the BEST! First of all the service was over the top, gave you a blanket when you sat down and the baskets for your things, the lady who greeted us was the granddaughter of the original owner and her son was the sushi chef! (4th generation sushi restaurant open for 97 years!) my mom in law translated a lot of things but the sushi chef showed us the pictures of the fish and described some of them as well! So cool! Can’t say enough how delicious the food was, the Uni was the best I’ve ever had, and the fish was unique and prepared in the most delicious ways! The wasabi was grated in front of us and the kani/nori (crab/seaweed) chawan mushi was unique and amazing. Suuuuper friendly service and just the best food! Last thing I’m going to say is my sister doesn’t really eat raw fish too often, but the way that everything was prepared was special and just the right taste. 祝い事のために二ヶ月ほど前から予約をし、利用させていただきました。 お店の立地、雰囲気、料理のお味もよく、クチコミの通り非常に満足度の高いお店で、また別の祝い事の際には利用したい、と考えておりました。

が、主人が一人で会計をする際、女将さんから小言を言われていたと後日聞かされました。 （詳細は伏せますが）出席する身内の中に食事について難がある者がおり、予約電話をした際に事情を伝えた上でご了解をいただいた筈の内容について、注意を受けたとの事でした。 お料理の説明兼ご挨拶に来ていただいた時、女将さんが怪訝そうな表情をされていたので「あれ？」と少し違和感を覚えましたが、主人から上記の件を聞いて辻褄が合いました。 あの時の言動からして、お電話で伝えた内容は微塵も記憶になかったのでしょう。 生憎ですが、こちらは店舗様にご了解頂けない事を断行する程、非常識な生き方はしてきておりません。

私の人生の中でも特に大事な祝いの席だっただけに、亡くなった叔父との思い出があるお店だっただけに、主人や義実家の皆さんに申し訳なくて涙がとまりませんでした。誠に残念です。

今後利用する事はございませんが、お料理がとても美味しかったこと、バイト？のお姉さんの接客が素晴らしかった事...
