I have been passing this restaurant on my daily commute for the past 2 years and only went there yesterday for a pre Mother’s Day celebration w/ my very good friend. The place is only open in the afternoon/ evening. And only takes cash. We did not have any reservations therefore we were there right as it open at 1600. The place was cozy, traditional Okinawan decor with seafood decors everywhere. The food though is great, we both chose the set meal of whole fish platter set simmered in soy sauce & the assorted fried seafood set. We also ordered the regular fried shrimp. We finished both our meals, it was so good. The platter included rice, soup, small sashimi and 2 smaller side dishes. We sat on tatami mats cross legged so it was a wonderful experience, getting up after gobbling the food was the problem as we can both barely do it. We left about 5 and there was only about 5 guests. Parking can be difficult if you arrived later. A must if you...

Best last Okinawan meal - restaurant run by the family of a retired fisherman who is also aoat excellent chef! Fresh, tender sashimi. Crsipy whole fried fresh fish. Perfectly prepared oysters. Crazy good and unique soups, pickles, and octopus salad in the "set". Gracious, happy atmosphere with lots of shell, fish, and marine objects. If you are a guitar or shamisen player, there's a good chance to strike up a moment with the owner/chef, as there is plenty of both instrument a there as well. We sat at the bar, bit there are also floor-seated tables on a raised dias, and two private rooms with Shoji screens. I love to catch fresh fish, cook, and eat and I say Don't miss...

The food was absolutely smashing for a very reasonable price. We did a round trip through Japan and this is what I missed in other cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Here they serve very fresh sashimi, sushi and other good stuff. The only thing I missed was some more context to what kind of fish and other dishes they were serving. They are however very friendly and willing to help you. If you like fresh fish, give this restaurant a try you will...

Everything was so good! Food was delicious... Butter fish, tempura, assorted sashimi, and gotta love when rice is cooked perfectly! Set meals come with soup that are great too. Service was awesome, they even helped call us a taxi to our hotel. Atmosphere is cool with lots of shells and things hanging from the walls and ceiling. Also some guitars around. I would probably come here regularly if I lived here. Futomaki was super good too!

Delicious seafood Izikaya! Our general rule is to not eat where I see too many Y plates. None, this is definitely where the locals eat! This restaurant is amazing and easy to find. We had the tuna cutlet set and full fried fish “Buttayaki” set, taco (octopus)chips, and goya chips, Amazing! Authentic Okinawan food and atmosphere. if you’re a foodie and like seafood, this is a must!
