It was recommended to us by my partners workmate. My first time in Jersey and of course we trust his recommendations. Straight from the airport we took bus 9. Did a mini beach walk and there it is, Colleens Cafe. Green tapestry as a sun shade with light green walls facing the beach. They asked us to have a seat wherever we want and look at their menu to find something we like.
Decided to sit outside the cafe, looking at the beach, sun kissed, fresh sea breeze and little drizzles of rain. The waves crashing added a good ambiance and was very relaxing.
My partner had english breakfast. Yes, he demolished all of it. 2 hashbrowns, 1 feied bread, mushrooms, beans, eggs sunny side up, sausages, bacon slices and a grilled tomato the works minus black puddin
I, on the other hand enjoyed my fried chicken and waffle dish. Chicken fillet pieces coated with panko - crunchy, lively and light batter (not soggy!!). The waffle was very fluffy. It had the right amount of sweetness and a nice crunch to the edges. To balance the sweet, there are 2 pieces of salty bacon that complimented it well. The chili maple sauce on the side was good (not too chili for my asian taste but it was okay)

Read moreWe visited on 1 September 2022. We had enjoyed coffee and cake in the morning and I decided to have a crab sandwich for lunch. I thought the price a little steep at £15 but imagined it would come with some salad or a side of something. However, when my husband brought it back in its container - as we decided to have it as takeaway - it was just two slices of white bread with some, albeit fresh, crab in. Unfortunately, it then started to rain rather heavily and I did not get the chance to take it back as I should have done as we left the beach for cover. It was very overpriced for just a sandwich on its own!! and I was left very...
