The Old Bakehouse Cafe 1 Sentence description: Far more than ‘just a cafe’ - wide range of food including homemade pasties and sausage rolls that are well worth taking ‘just for later’. What’s good here? Lovely decor, friendly service and breakfasts with heaps of food. Large and wide-ranging menu. Save some space - if you can - for their sausage rolls; take one for dinner - and see if you can resist the temptation to eat it before then! What’s an ‘Opportunity for Improvement’? Took me a while to find it (just behind First Tower), but it’s well worth it when you do. Anything to disclose? No - paying customer, anonymously visited. --- How I Rate: I normally rate 1-4, with 5 reserved for ’Exceptional’, i.e. “deviating from the norm” or “truly worthy of note”. * 4 stars = very good * 3 stars = good * 2 stars = average or acceptable * 1 stars = poor

My first trip here. Managed to grab the last table inside but there's plenty of outside seating too. Oh they also offer takeaway. I had veggie sausage and cheese on a Portuguese roll and a portion of chips. Both were huge portions. My coffee was large too and only £1.95!! I was served quickly and the food was delicious. I took updated photos of the menu as I saw the previous ones were a few years old.

An excellent place for breakfast/brunch. Great food, great value for money. Option to eat in or take away, of which we did both. We very much liked the ability to choose the bread/buns. The Portuguese bun was particularly good

First time been here but pleasantly surprised. Shared a portion of chips and they were hot and crispy. Do lovely fruit smoothies made while you wait. Very friendly and helpful staff. Must try again as there is a lot more on the menu. Somewhere to go to warm up. Also has...
