We decided to have lunch here before visiting the Devil's Hole and I'm so glad, that we did. The food was delicious even though we ordered simple enough meals. Both meal were presented beautifully. I ordered the fish burger and my husband ordered a jacket potato. You'd think 'How good could a jacket potato be?'. Even though I wasn't even in the mood to eat one, I ended up nicking lots from my husband's plate because it was so good. The potato was cooked perfectly and just melted in my mouth. The fish burger, that I ordered, was incredible. It was literally the best one, that I've ever had. The fish melted in my mouth and the batter was wonderfully crunchy. Even their mayo was so good. The staff were lovely, polite and accommodating. They took our order for a sticky toffee pudding, even though we were leaving to go visit the hole. This was so that it would be ready in time for us to eat before we had to leave to catch our flight. When we arrived back at the inn they bought the pudding out and it was absolutely incredible. Hot, moist and sticky sweet. I would come back to Jersey just to eat here again. The inn itself is so cute and hygge. They have a log fireplace area. The whole inn has low ceilings and the general feel is very rustic and homely. I can imagine it being wonderful at Christmas time (if they are open around that time of the year).

Great surprise inside walking in, look out for the low really big beams in the ceiling. Especially great to see the fireplace and oven bricked in the original style from the old times. Staff waiting to greet and serve. Just enjoy the break, and top food cooked just for you. Parking is good and spacious. Great sea bass and scallops this week, thank you.. Suggest doing the 80 steps to the 😈 hole out the back of the carpark. I picked a medium sea state and still missed the sound of the horn voice from his cave. This is worth a visit and don't be afraid to walk into this pub for food. Was very pleased overall with plenty of seating.

Perfect place for a stop. We came for just a cup of tea and we were not disappointed. We had dogs with us and they happily supplied a bowl of fresh water and took out order. There is a nice outdoor seating area as well as a good area inside. There seems to be another area for a kiddies indoor play area but we did not investigate this. I would imagine the majority of the passing trade is from people visiting Devils hole which is a 10 minute walk from the pub. The vast majority of visitors had done this walk the same as us. This is worth a walk down to on a nice day.

There is one important piece of advice I would give to any one visiting here make sure you are starving hungry. The portions here are generous and food is excellent. The seafood platter for sharing is a case in point it misleadingly appears at the bottom of the starters list. My wife and I ordered this and a pie of the week each (this week's steak and kidney suet pudding) and were adviced this was not a good idea as the seafood platter was big, slightly sceptical we went with the staff recommendation and only had the seafood. They were right this a main meal for two. Consists of scampi, whitebait, prawn cocktail, salmon fish cakes, salad and bread and butter. Excellent, tasty and filling, though we did manage to find room for dessert, chocolate brownie for me and banoffi cheesecake for my good lady. Both excellent. Having missed out on the steak and kidney suet pudding we went back the following day for this and well worth the second visit. The staff are very friendly and the inside of Inn is typical olde worlde country pub, remember to duck under the beam nearest coffee machine at the bar or you will grouse (see sign on beam!) . A good way to work up an appetite is walking down to the devil's hole at the foot of the cliff path approx half...

We opted to sit inside as we didn’t want to be swarmed by wasps. Instead, we were swarmed by 6 ravenous blue bottles and by the time the food arrived this turned into 10.

The food. I went for the ā€˜toasted’ ciabatta with cajun chicken, bacon and avocado. My girlfriend had the fajitas. The ciabatta was quite the opposite of toasted and was as stale as the hot rolls dug from Pompeii. The chicken was cold and the avocado turned out to be the same guacamole my girlfriend had as a side for her fajitas.

I’ve heard great things from this restaurant so was very disappointed. On a separate note, if you go for a local jersey cider as a drink there’s no need to ask for vinegar for your chips. Hope that gives you a good idea...
